Recall distress

I am deeply distressed by the current recall effort. The city council is a legislative body responsible for advocating for the health and well-being of the city as a whole. Part of this process is to propose and discuss resolutions and ordinances, including those brought to them by individual community members.

More affordable project in order

The Homer City Council will consider, at its July 27 meeting, an ordinance to spend more than $600,000 from its general fund savings account to bring the design of the proposed public safety building to the next stage. The complex includes a kitchen and dining space that rival most Homer restaurants and a lobby to include display space for the Willys Jeep Fire Engine 1.
