Classified Ad Rates
Up to 20 Words $8.70 per week
$0.25 a word after 20 words.
Put an ad in for 3 consecutive weeks and get a 10% discount
Additional Rates: 6.5% Sales Tax Must Be Added to Total
  • Deadline for placing a classified ad is Monday at 5 p.m. Ads submitted via HomerNews.com will be processed during normal business hours. Homer News offices are open Monday 8:00 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Tuesday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • The Homer News is a weekly paper and publishes on Thursday. All ads are also posted online in the Classifieds section at www.homernews.com and are also updated weekly on Thursday.
  • 6.5% sales tax must be added to the cost for all ads. Homer News accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards, checks, and cash payments made in office.
  • All ads require prepayment and will not publish until payment has been confirmed with a Homer News classified representative. After submitting your ad online you will be contacted by a Homer News employee to confirm information and arrange payment. If we do not call to confirm receipt of your ad, please call (907) 235-7767.
  • Please check your ad the first day of publication. In the event that an error is made, we will do everything possible to correct the error. The Homer News will be responsible for only one day's error or omission.
  • The publisher reserves the right to reject any ad deemed objectionable either in subject or phrasing or which is considered detrimental to the newspaper. The publisher does not guarantee the financial responsibility of any advertiser or the reliability of any advertiser. The Homer News will not knowingly publish false advertising or advertisements that injure another or discriminate unlawfully against another.
  • FREE ADS:
    Items under $300 for sale by private party, Garage Sale, and Lost and Found: free text-only ad includes up to 20 words for 2 weeks.
  • SPECIAL DISCOUNTS and PACKAGE DEALS:
    Get 10% off by running the same ad for 3 weeks (requires prepayment).
