March 28-April 3

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to 13 medical calls and one fire call.

Trooper Report

March 19

Alaska State Troopers at 10 a.m. went to a crash near Anchor Point. Troopers said a 59-year-old Kasilof man suffered minor injuries but totaled his 2000 Subaru.

Troopers at 3:40 p.m. contacted a 28-year-old Homer man in Homer and found he had an outstanding warrant. Troopers arrested the man.

March 21

A caller at 11:11 a.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a driver who appeared unsteady when walking at a Lake Street address. Police responded and determined the driver had a knee injury and had left a cane in the car.

Two men at 11:30 a.m. went to the police station to turn themselves in. Police arrested a 39-year-old man on an arrest warrant and a 34-year-old man on a petition to revoke probation.

A man at 12:45 p.m. reported a theft from a car.

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to eight medical calls and three fire call.

Criminal Court

Dany K. Foss, 35, third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.

John M. Rocereta, 67, driving under the influence.

Dylan Ely 23, driving while license cancelled, suspended, revoked or limited.

Trooper Report

March 12

Alaska State Troopers at 12:03 a.m. went to a report of the death of an 80-year-old Anchor Point woman at her home. Troopers and medics responded and confirmed the woman had died of natural causes. Next of kin were present. 

Troopers at 7:49 p.m. did a welfare check of a 44-year-old woman at her Anchor Point home. Troopers found the woman had died at her home. Next of kin were notified.

March 14

A caller at 6:41 p.m. reported an injured bird. Police provided the caller with the phone number of a bird rescue agency.

March 15

A caller at 10:27 a.m. reported a domestic dispute at a Mount Augustine Drive address. Police responded.

A caller at 12:26 p.m. reported a man driving under the influence on the Sterling Highway.

A caller at 12:23 p.m. reported losing property in the Homer area.

Troopers Report

March 6

Alaska State Troopers at 2:52 a.m. went to a report of a disturbance at an East End Road address. Troopers said an 18-year-old Homer man assaulted another man with a handgun while at a house party. Troopers found the suspect at his home and arrested him for third-degree assault.

A caller at 9:25 a.m. reported items taken from an unlocked vehicle on Noview Avenue.

A caller at 12:46 p.m. reported a possible theft at a Grubstake Avenue address.

A caller at 7:01 p.m. reported a disturbance at a Mountainview Avenue address. Police responded.

Police on March 7, March 8, March 9, March 10, March 11 and contacted drivers parked east of the Bishop’s Beach parking lot and warned them that the area is now closed to vehicles.
