Bureau of Highway Patrol Troopers at 9:41 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 53-year-old Kasilof man driving a 1999 GMC sport utility vehicle near Mile 137 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik. Troopers arrested the man for DUI.

Alaska State Troopers at 9:56 p.m. stopped the driver of a black Nissan car near Mile 5 East End Road for passing in a no-passing zone. Troopers arrested the driver, a 24-year-old Homer man, for driving under the influence.

A woman at 8:45 a.m. reported her bicycle was taken from the porch of a Bunnell Avenue building.

A woman at 9:02 a.m. reported a person wheezing and driving herself to South Peninsula Hospital. The woman said she was worried for the driver’s welfare. An officer and the hospital were advised.

A caller at 10:44 a.m. reported seeing shoplifters on a video taken at a Sterling Highway business.

Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 45-year-old Anchorage man for sport fishing in closed waters in Deep Creek. A records check also showed he had an outstanding warrant and he was arrested and taken to the Homer Jail.

A person at 2:47 p.m. made a 911 call that a man was pacing in the road on the Sterling Highway, yelling and carrying a cooler. Police checked on the man and found he was OK.

A man at 8:35 a.m. reported an unwanted person staying at his Bonanza Avenue home. Police responded and issued the person a trespass notice.

A woman at 5:34 p.m. reported a liquor sale violation.

Alaska State Troopers at 2:33 p.m. received a report from a 34-year-old Kasilof woman that someone took a back pack with her wallet from her car. She said the person charged fuel on her credit card twice between Ninilchik and Kasilof. Troopers were waiting for confirmation of video coverage from both gas stations. The investigation is continuing.

A caller at 12:49 p.m. reported the driver of a belly-dump truck turned right from the left hand lane on Pioneer Avenue and almost collided with a car. The caller said the truck headed north.

A woman at 2:15 p.m. reported her honey bees swarmed away from her hive on Bonanza Avenue and might be in the area.

A caller at 2:53 p.m. reported a woman was shoplifting at a Bunnell Avenue store.
