A person at 2:47 p.m. made a 911 call that a man was pacing in the road on the Sterling Highway, yelling and carrying a cooler. Police checked on the man and found he was OK.

July 19

A man at 8:35 a.m. reported an unwanted person staying at his Bonanza Avenue home. Police responded and issued the person a trespass notice.

A woman at 5:34 p.m. reported a liquor sale violation.

July 11

Alaska State Troopers at 2:33 p.m. received a report from a 34-year-old Kasilof woman that someone took a back pack with her wallet from her car. She said the person charged fuel on her credit card twice between Ninilchik and Kasilof. Troopers were waiting for confirmation of video coverage from both gas stations. The investigation is continuing.

A caller at 12:49 p.m. reported the driver of a belly-dump truck turned right from the left hand lane on Pioneer Avenue and almost collided with a car. The caller said the truck headed north.

A woman at 2:15 p.m. reported her honey bees swarmed away from her hive on Bonanza Avenue and might be in the area.

A caller at 2:53 p.m. reported a woman was shoplifting at a Bunnell Avenue store.

Court records show the following actions taken in Homer District Court through July 12:

Judgments

Wendell Ezell, 54, pleaded guilty to taking an overlimit of halibut. He was fined $300; ordered to pay $10 to support the Police Training Fund, and ordered to forfeit fish seized and pay restitution.

Criminal Court

Samuel D. Neace, 23, fourth-degree assault, domestic violence; second-degree criminal trespass.

July 6

Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 44-year-old Homer man for being in possession of nine salmon caught in Tutka Bay, three more than the limit of six.

Wildlife troopers contacted a 51-year-old Homer man during a boating safety inspection at the Homer Harbor. Troopers cited the man for not having enough personal floatation devices on board and for failing to register a powerboat. They also warned and cited other members for wildlife related violations.

A caller at 11:03 a.m. reported spruce boughs in the road on the Sterling Highway. Police responded and found a passerby had removed the debris.

A woman at 4:10 p.m. reported seeing a loose dog in the road on East End Road. She said she put the dog on a leash.

The Kenai Police Department at 4:16 p.m. reported a missing juvenile might be in the Homer area. Police issued a “be on the lookout” notice.

June 29

Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 26-year-old Homer man for commercial fishing in closed waters in Prince William Sound.

Alaska State Troopers at 2:53 a.m. went to a report of a disturbance at a North Fork Road home. Troopers allege a 35-year-old Anchor Point man was drunk, got in a fight and damaged property in excess of $500. He was arrested for third-degree criminal mischief, domestic violence.

Police at 1:08 a.m. stopped a 24-year-old woman driving on Pioneer Avenue and arrested her for driving under the influence.

A caller at 7:38 a.m. reported a man asleep in the post office lobby who smelled of alcohol. Police contacted the man and told him to move along.

A woman at 10:50 a.m. reported people in the Bartlett Street area shot a moose with a pellet gun.

Alaska State Troopers at 4:35 p.m. receive a report of fuel stolen from a tank near a home on Lunchbox Drive in Ninilchik. Troopers said about $1,000 in fuel was stolen in the fall and winter of 2012. Anyone with information on this theft is asked to call Alaska State Troopers at (907) 262-4753 t or Kenai Peninsula Crime Stoppers at (800) 478-HALT (4258).

A caller at 2:50 p.m. reported littering near Mile 169.2 Sterling Highway.

June 21

A woman at 9:36 a.m. reported her teenage son took the family car without permission after a dispute. She asked police to be on the lookout. The mother later reported the car had been returned. Police spoke with the subjects.

A man at 1:48 p.m. reported the theft of an iPad.

Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted a 30-year-old Homer man for a commercial fishing violation in 2012. Troopers cited him for two alleged violations of fishing a drift gillnet north of the Ugashik district in closed waters.
