Registration is now being held for an art workshop with visiting artist and abstract painter, Rebecca Crowell, to be held Aug. 9-11 at the Kachemak Bay Campus. Crowell will focus on methods of building up abstract paintings in layers, using cold wax medium, tube paint, powdered pigments and other media. The emphasis is on cold wax medium and exploring and experimenting with the process.

The deadline for registration is July 25 with a fee of $175. The workshop is held in conjunction with Crowell’s show, “Beneath the Surface,” opening Aug. 2 at the Pratt Museum. For more information, call 235-7743 or visit www.kpc.alaska.edu/kbc.
