Artist seeks stories for book about Jack Epperson

Former Homer artist and writer Debi Bodett has issued an open invitation for friends of Jack Epperson to submit stories to an anthology she is putting together titled “The Collective.” When Bodett heard of Epperson’s recent passing, she said she found herself thinking, “Someone should write Jack’s story,” with her next thought, “I need to write my own story about what knowing Jack meant to me.” Bodett invites friends of Epperson to join the project by writing your own “Jack story” or sharing a line or two of gratitude. People also can express interest by joining the list to be notified when the book is completed. Bodett said the publication will be available as an e-book or a hardcover. Photos of Epperson, his sandhill crane photos and a video interview will be included.  Submissions to “The Collective” will be accepted through Aug. 17, and are open to the public.
