Pato Banton headlines Ravenfest

Legendary reggae artist Pato Banton is the headline act for Ravenfest 2015, held Aug. 21-22 at Ravenhouse Alaska Bed & Breakfast Rentals near Whiskey Gulch north of Anchor Point. The festival also includes bands Raised by Humans, Firelight, Roots Rock, Howlin’ Whales, Uplift Homer, the English Bay Band, Mike Fairman and Zach Atchley, with entertainment by Tails and Tassels Burlesque and DJs Movement and Mexecution. Banton also plays in a solo show at 10 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Alibi. Tickets are $20, on sale at the Alibi.
A reggae artist since the 1980s, Banton has performed worldwide. Born in London and raised in Birmingham, England, Pato Banton has performed with his bands Crucial Music and Reggae Revolution, and toured with Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, Burning Spear, Third World, Yellowman, Black Uhuru, and Dennis Brown and Steel Pulse.
