Former council member Kosch dies in Arizona

Former Homer City Council member John Kosch, 71, died Jan. 3 at his winter home in Bullhead City, Ariz. 

A longtime Homer resident, Kosch served on the Homer City Council from 1983 to 1988. He also was mayor pro tempore. Kosch worked as a real estate agent for Bay Realty and later for Story Real Estate. He also owned a concrete company, formerly owned Frosty Bear Ice Cream Parlor, and with his wife, Nancy, ran a bed and breakfast in the Thayer Building, now the First American Title Building, on Pioneer Avenue.

Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Jan. 11 at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Bullhead City.
