American Legion Auxiliary scholarships $500 award for high school seniors, Auxiliary Unit 16 scholarship, deadline is April 1.
American Legion Western District, $1,000, for seniors who may not be able to get a scholarship and are ready to make a commitment to post-secondary education, deadline is Feb. 28.
American Legion National President’s Scholarship, $1,500 plus, award is gifted to high school seniors who are daughters, sons, grandchildren and step-grandchildren of veterans who served in the Armed Forces during eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion. No Legion membership is required. Deadline is March 1.
Western District American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship, $500-$1,000. For continuing students who are members of the Legion family. Due March 31.
Non-Traditional American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship, $1,000. For continuing students who are members of the Legion, Auxiliary, or Sons of the American Legion family. Deadline is March 1.
American Legion Auxiliary Spirit of Youth Scholarship, $1,000. Must be a Junior Auxiliary member for past three years and hold a membership card for 2013. This is a four-year award. Deadline is March 1.

KBEA (Kenai Borough Employees Association) Scholarship committee is accepting applications for four scholarships, $500 each available to 2013 graduates of the Kenai Peninsula Borough, including public, private and home schools. Applications and instructions are available from high school counselor or at www.borough.kenai.ak.us. Applications must be delivered or postmarked by March 29. They can be mailed or dropped off at the Kenai Peninsula Borough, KBEA Scholarship Committee, 144 N. Binkley St., Soldotna, AK 99669.
