Haunted Hickory spooky good time

The crew of USCGC Hickory would like to thank everyone that helped us ensure that Haunted Hickory was once again a great success for the community. Moore and Moore Services provided porta potties (at no charge), M/V Tustumena’s Engineering Division donated a couple hundred pounds of food, and the local Coast Guard Auxiliary donated manpower to ensure this year’s Haunted Hickory was successful.

Thank you to the community who also showed up with their donations of food to help out the food pantry. Cutter Hickory hosted more than 715 people onboard during the event and more than 2,200 pounds of food was donated to the Homer Food Pantry.

We didn’t really believe that it was going to be possible due to our operational schedule and our time away from home port the last four months. The crew came together and produced an extremely successful Haunted Hickory in only two days time. Bravo Zulu to all. Thank you.
