Kevin Bell Ice Arena appreciates its many community supporters

Dear Homer,

The Kevin Bell Ice Arena sends huge and heartfelt thanks to our wonderful community. Homer Hockey and the HHA Divas hosted a Shamrock Shin-Dig and Shenanigan’s Fundraiser at Alice’s Champagne Palace over St. Patrick’s Day weekend. The food was fantastic, the beer was green and we all had a great time. The kindness and generosity of so many Homer businesses and individuals made our effort a magical success.

Kevin Bell Ice Arena is a member owned and operated, non-profit rink.

Keeping the rink up and running requires commitment, in both financial and volunteer aspects, of epic proportion. Our community rink provides a venue for exercise, fun, team building, skill building and healthy entertainment for all ages. We are also proud to contribute to the local economy during the winter months by hosting tournaments for so many of our teams.

The rink’s legendary name sake, Kevin Bell, was passionately enthusiastic about hockey, Homer and kids enjoying ice time. Kevin worked tirelessly for years, along side many other hockey parents, to bring the dream of our own community rink alive. It is with the same enthusiastic passion that we thank you for supporting KBIA now and in the future.

A special thanks to the following KBIA supporters: Alice’s Champagne Palace (thanks, Cindy), Bay Club, Live in the Cove by Quiet Place Lodge, Land’s End Resort, Best Western Bidarka Inn, The Grog Shop, Homer’s Jeans, K-Bay Caffe, Vagabond Café, Cosmic Kitchen, Tech Connect, Far Out Café, Homer Saw and Cycle, Ulmer’s, Pho Thai Restaurant, VBS, Home Run Oil, Blackberry Bog, Element Salon, Beth Massage, Nomar, Homer Movie Theatre, Timeless Toys and CommuKnitty Stash.

We are all so privileged to live in such an infinitely beautiful and generous haven.
