Triathlon rounds out season

Clear icy weather gave way to snow in this year’s Kachemak Nordic Ski Club’s Sea to Ski Triathlon. This year brought 25 ironmen and women and 30 participating in teams. The KNSC would like to express its thanks to Homer Saw and Cycle for co-sponsoring the race and to all the generous individuals and businesses that donated door prizes and helped make the race possible: Dave Brann, Captain’s Coffee, Chain Reaction Sports, Cycle Logical, Fat Olives, Halcyon Heights B&B, Homer Saw and Cycle, Marine Services of Alaska, and True North Kayak Adventures.  The city of Homer Public Works Department generously provided support for course set up and outhouse facilities.

I would like to personally thank all the many volunteers who helped during the preparation and day of the race. You all made it happen. Lastly, congratulations to all the athletes who participated. The KNSC hopes you had a great race and will come back again next year. Race results for Sea to Ski and all the other races for this year and past are posted at the KNSC website http://kachemaknordicskiclub.org/.
