Rotary Club scholarship appreciated

As a 2016 graduate of Homer High School, I am writing to thank the town of Homer for their continual support they have shown me throughout the last 18 years. Growing up in this small town has been such a blessing.

This fall I will be attending Colorado Mesa University. My goal is to get a bachelor of science in nursing. I want to thank the Kachemak Bay Rotary Club for assisting me in making my goals become reality with its generous scholarship. I also would like to thank the Aleutian Harvester Memorial Fund for its investment into my future through the scholarship award. And lastly, I would like to thank the anonymous nurse whom so kindly blessed me with a scholarship to support my aspirations to become a nurse.

As I reflect on my childhood and the great years I have spent in Homer, I cannot help but be thankful. So to the community of Homer, thank you. It is with great anticipation that I face this next journey in life, and I will always be comforted thinking of the support I have from my hometown.
