May 23

A person at 7:50 p.m. made a 911 call of a woman screaming and waving her arms on Cook Way. Police responded and found all was OK. The woman was trying to scare away a porcupine.

A caller at 8:12 p.m. reported a man overboard trying to get back into a boat on Kachemak Bay. Police contacted the harbor office. A harbor officer went to the boat and found all was OK.

May 24

A caller at 1:26 a.m. reported a disruptive man at a Bartlett Street address. Police responded.

A caller at 12:07 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a man on Poopdeck Street. Police responded and took a man into protective custody after having him medically cleared at South Peninsula Hospital.

A caller at 1:41 p.m. reported people drinking and partying on private property near the Poopdeck Trail and Grubstake Avenue. Police responded and warned the people involved about trespassing.

A person at 2:56 p.m. made a 911 call of a drunk man yelling in the Poopdeck Street area. Police responded.

A caller at 6:16 p.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch on Main Street near Ohlson Lane. Police responded and arrested a 55-year-old woman for driving under the influence.

A caller at 7:05 p.m. reported a loose, aggressive dog on East End Road near Fairview Avenue. Police responded but could not catch the dog.

A caller at 8:31 p.m. reported construction noise and infringement on camping space on the Spit. Police advised the caller of options.

A caller at 9:27 p.m. reported several cars being driven dangerously at Karen Hornaday Park. Police responded but could not find the suspects.

May 25

A caller at 7:38 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on an employee who had not shown up for work. Police responded.

A caller at 12:14 p.m. reported a young person trying to get shoes off a power line with a stick. Police and Homer Electric Association responded and advised the person that it is unsafe to touch power lines.

A caller at 2:36 p.m. reported a bicycle stolen from a Spruce Lane address.

A caller at 3:32 p.m. reported a man might harm himself or others. Police contacted the man and transported him to the hospital.

A woman at 4:44 p.m. made a 911 call that her brother had been threatened by men at Karen Hornaday Park.

Police at 5:11 p.m. contacted a drunk man on Pioneer Avenue. All was OK.

A person at 8:49 p.m. made a 911 call of a drunk man in the road on Ocean Drive. Police responded but could not find the man.

May 26

A caller at 11:45 a.m. reported a stolen vehicle.

A caller at 11:47 a.m. reported a dog bite at Bishop’s Beach.

An off-duty police officer at 11:53 a.m. reported a possible wanted subject on Pioneer Avenue. The person was gone by the time police arrived.

Police at 6:40 p.m. contacted a 48-year-old man driving near Mile 170.5 Sterling Highway and issued him a summons for driving while license revoked and violating conditions of release. At 7:41 p.m. police later contacted the man and arrested him for driving while license suspended.

A caller at 7:56 p.m. reported a break-in at a Sterling Highway home.

A caller at 8:49 p.m. reported people camping in the road on Tulin Terrace Boulevard. Police found the people had left.

May 27

A caller at 12:20 a.m. reported unknown people in a motorhome pulled into a driveway on Early Spring Street. The caller wanted the people to leave. Police responded.

A caller at 3:12 a.m. reported an aggressive man harassing campers on the Spit and threatening the caller and family. Police responded but could not find the suspect.
