Bruce Robert Sherbondy

Bruce Robert Sherbondy, a loving father, 57, of Homer, Alaska, passed away Oct. 13, 2012, from cancer.

He was born in Denver, Colo., in Rocky Mountain Hospital on July 22, 1955.

Bruce was always a strong, adventurous man who traveled all of the United States and parts of Mexico and Canada. He loved to ski as a teenager in the mountains of Colorado, hunting deer and elk with his father and his only brother and later shared his passion for the outdoors with his children and grandchildren. Bruce commercial fished in Florida, dairy farmed in Minnesota in his twenties and then later in his forties with his family, alfalfa farmed in Montana, and administrated/owned assisted living homes in Washington and Montana, and finally retired in Alaska where he had dreamed of as the final chapter of a full life of many adventures he shared with his family. His biggest passion was his children. He will be greatly missed by his family.

He is survived by his mother, Louella; uncle, Ralph; brother, Eugene; nephew, Blue; first wife, Linda Robertson and their children, Renee, Craig, and Brian; son, Blake; second wife, Lisa and their daughter Leslie; and grandchildren, Darien, Savannah, Brandon, Shyloe and James.

Bruce wished to be cremated without a funeral or services as his wish was to be remembered for the life he lived. He was an amazing man who loved his children very much. We love you, Dad, and will always love you.

Arrangements were made by Homer Funeral Home.
