May 9

A caller at 8:48 a.m. reported signs of unlocked vehicles being searched in the night on El Sarino Court, however nothing was taken. 

A man came to the station at 9:36 a.m. to report items stolen from unlocked vehicles on Lee Drive.

A caller at 10:20 a.m. reported that unlocked vehicles on Mountainview Drive were tampered with during the night.

A caller at 10:40 a.m. reported a theft from a parking lot of Skyline Drive and Glacierview Court after the fact.

A caller at 12:38 p.m. reported a theft from an unlocked vehicle on Lee Drive after the fact. 

A caller at 2:13 p.m. reported that someone tampered with her unlocked vehicle on Kachemak Way the previous night. Nothing was taken.

Officers carried out an arrest warrant at 2:47 p.m. for a 50-year-old male on Lake Street.

A caller at 2:56 p.m. reported a female driving on Lake Street with a revoked license. Officers responded to the area, but were unable to locate the subject. 

A caller at 9:20 p.m. reported a male camping on business property on Ben Walters Lane. Officers advised the subject to move along. 

May 10

A caller at 9:10 a.m. reported a vehicle in water at the beach area near Crittenden Drive.

A caller at 1:09 p.m. reported a vehicle parked in a suspicious spot at a Spit Road business. 

A caller at 3:52 p.m. reported a shoplifter in custody on Lake Street. An officer responded to the scene and issued a summons for theft III to a 29-year-old man.

A caller at 3:54 p.m. reported a theft after the fact from a Spit Road business.

A female came to the station at 9:20 p.m. to report a theft from a Hazel Avenue building.

A caller at 11:58 p.m. reported a stolen vehicle on mile one of Spit Road. Officers responded to the area and located the vehicle.

May 11

A caller at 6:32 a.m. reported a conflict with another male. The parties separated and an officer later advised the caller, as no officer was available at the time of the call.

A person came to the station at 1:15 p.m. to report a theft of a small pile of firewood on East End Road.

Officers arrested a 48-year-old male at 2:25 p.m. on Heath Street for failure to register as a sex offender.

May 12

A caller at 3:51 a.m. reported a male causing a disturbance outside of a Crittenden Drive business. Officers responded to the scene.

A caller at 10:54 a.m. reported receiving a check under suspicious circumstances in the Homer area.

A caller at 3:05 p.m. reported that a possible intoxicated driver almost caused an accident on Spit Road near Mariner Park. An officer responded to the scene and arrested a 55-year-old male for driving while intoxicated.

A caller at 7:51 p.m. reported being threatened by a female with a knife on Hazel Avenue. Officers responded to the scene and arrested a 35-year-old woman on two counts of assault.

Officers arrested a 35-year-old female for assault in the fourth degree at 8:43 p.m. on Heath Street.

May 13

A caller at 10:57 a.m. reported a rent scam in the Homer area.

A caller at 2:53 p.m. reported a counterfeit bill on Sterling Highway.

A caller at 5:30 p.m. reported a vehicle speeding repeatedly in a neighborhood on Danview Avenue.

A caller at 7:11 p.m. reported four-wheelers on beach near Beluga Place causing an unsafe situation. An officer responded to the scene.

May 14

A caller at 12:32 a.m. reported lights on and doors open at a vacant residence on Bartlett Street. An officer responded to the scene, secured the residence and found no signs of forced entry.

A caller at 2:08 a.m. reported a fight in progress on East Pioneer Avenue. Officers responded to the scene and separated the parties. 

A caller at 6:48 a.m. reported that someone had been in her East Hill Road home and stolen guns. Officers responded to the scene.

A caller at 5:23 p.m. reported a vehicle backed into her vehicle on Heath Street and drove off. Officers responded to the scene and arrested a 63-year-old female for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.

May 15

A caller at 2:37 a.m. reported a possible disturbance and assault after the fact on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer responded to the scene.

An officer contacted an intoxicated pedestrian at 4:53 a.m. on East Pioneer Avenue and advised the man not to operate a motor vehicle until sober.

A caller at 12:41 p.m. reported a dog locked in a vehicle on a hot day on Spit Road. An officer responded to the scene and found that all was OK – all four windows of the vehicle were cracked, the dog was in good health and was able to ardently bark at the officer.

A caller at 6:18 p.m. asked to speak to an officer in reference to an Internet scam. The officer advised the caller of options.

A caller at 7 p.m. reported a dispute on Sterling Highway. Officers reported to the scene and separated the parties for the night.

A caller at 7:11 p.m. reported subjects acting very strangely, parked in a car on West Fairview Avenue. Officers responded to the area.

A medical facility reported a dog bite on South Slope Drive. Officers were unable to make contact with the parties and forwarded the incident to Animal Control.

May 16

A caller at 5:18 p.m. reported a vehicle driving in a restricted area on the beach near Beluga Place. An officer responded to the location.

A caller at 5:51 p.m. reported suspicious activity near West Fairview Avenue.

A man came to the police station at 6:30 p.m. to report suspicious activity on Calhoun Street.
