June 6

Police at 10 a.m. arrested a 52-year-old woman for theft.

A caller at 2:31 p.m. reported a wanted subject in the Greatland Street area. Police arrested a 28-year-old man on three outstanding warrants.

June 7

A caller at 12:56 p.m. reported being threatened and harassed.

A caller at 6:25 p.m. reported a possible orphaned moose calf in the Little Fireweed Lane area.

A caller at 6:25 p.m. reported suspicious bones at Bishop’s Beach. Police responded.

A caller at 8:56 p.m. reported a drunk man walking on the side of the road, harassing people and screaming at cars near Mile 3.5 Homer Spit Road.

A caller at 8:58 p.m. reported an unknown man entered a Sterling Highway home. Police responded but could not find the man. At 9:13 p.m. a caller reported a drunk man caused a disturbance at a Spit business and refused to leave. Police arrested a 29-year-old man for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

A person made a 911 call at 10:37 p.m. reporting a drunk woman caused a disturbance at a Fairview Avenue home. Police responded and took the woman into protective custody.

June 8

A caller at 1:25 p.m. reported a can had been tampered with while parked on the Spit.

Police at 2:26 p.m. arrested a 51-year-old man on a warrant at Freight Dock Road on the Spit.

A person at 6:05 p.m. reported a temporary restraining order violation.

A caller at 5:54 p.m. reported a sculpture that looks like a pedestrian crossing the road at the corner of Main Street and the Sterling Highway. The sculpture might be a traffic hazard, the caller said.

A person at 7:38 p.m. made a 911 call of a small child without a parent at Heath Street and Hazel Avenue. Police responded, found the parent and reunited the family.

A caller at 9:47 p.m. reported a person threw food at them at Bishop’s Beach.

A person at 11:22 p.m. made a 911 call reported a possible domestic dispute at a White Alder Court address. Police responded and determined it was a verbal argument only. The parties were separated for the night.

June 9

A caller at 2:22 p.m. reported finding drugs at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded.

A caller at 5:10 p.m. reported a terminated employee threatened the caller over the phone.

A caller at 6:40 p.m. reported a car being used for camping at the end of Greatland Street.

A caller at 7:03 p.m. reported a trespassed person at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded and arrested a 63-year-old man for criminal trespass.

Police at 7:06 p.m. served a search warrant at a Soundview Avenue address in an attempt to find a person with an outstanding warrant.

Police at 11:46 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 29-year-old woman driving on the Spit and arrested her for driving under the influence.

June 10

A caller at 11:58 a.m. reported a car with large amounts of smoke on it on the Sterling Highway near Main Street. The caller suspected the driver might be smoking something illegal.

Police at 1:17 p.m. attempted a warrant arrest at a Kay Court home.

A caller at 2:12 p.m. reported a theft at a Lake Street address.

Police at 3:30 p.m. arrested a 34-year-old man on a warrant at a Crestwood Circle address.

A person at 7:29 p.m. made a 911 call of a car-moose crash on the Sterling Highway near West Hill Road. No one was injured.

June 11

A caller at 12:20 a.m. reported being concerned for a man dressed in camouflage gear on the Spit at night.

A man at 10:34 a.m. made a 911 call that his cat escaped his Main Street house and he needed assistance. 

June 12

A caller at 7:03 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on his wife.

A person at 1:17 p.m. made a 911 call that a woman was out of control at a Mount Augustine Drive home. Police responded.

A caller at 1:33 p.m. reported a boat hit the dock with minimal damage to the dock.

A caller at 4:27 p.m. reported a drunk man gave him a hard time on the Poopdeck Trail.

A caller at 4:30 p.m. reported young people riding ATVs without helmets on Spruceview Avenue.

Police at 9:55 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 27-year-old man on the Sterling Highway and arrested him on a petition to revoke probation.

A caller at 10:36 p.m. reported people yelling at a Jenny Way address. Police responded.

June 13

A caller at 1:51 a.m. reported a drunk man caused a disturbance at a Spit campground. Police arrested a 25-year-old man for DUI.

A caller at 2:24 a.m. asked for police help with an injured moose and calves near Mile 159.5 Sterling Highway. Police could not find the moose.
