July 7

Alaska State Troopers at 2:59 p.m. received a report of a burglary at a Sterling Highway home north of Anchor Point. The caller said three Toyo heaters and a Maytag washer and dryer set were stolen from the home within the last week. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimes Stoppers at 1-800-478-HALT (478-4257). Investigation continues.

July 8

Troopers at 9:26 a.m. received a report of a burglary at a Louis Huber Avenue area cabin near the North Fork Road in Anchor Point. The incident happened sometime between March and June. The caller said camping essentials were taken from the cabin. A neighbor also reported seeing and chasing away someone attempting to siphon fuel from a vehicle on the property. July 9

Troopers at 10:45 a.m. received a report of a burglary at a shop near Milo Fritz Avenue in Anchor Point. Troopers said someone broke into the shop and stole several fishing poles. Other items might have been taken as well. The burglary happened sometime after 7:30 p.m. July 8. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimes Stoppers at 1-800-478-HALT (478-4257). Investigation continues.

July 10

Troopers at 8:40 a.m. went to a report of a death of a 70-year-old woman at a Walter Thomas Road home in Homer. Troopers said the woman died of natural causes earlier that morning. Next of kin were present. The body was released to a mortuary.
