to an end in the Homer Boat Yard and the male attempted to flee on foot again but was caught by two Homer Police officers and taken into custody. Investigation on scene determined the driver was driving while intoxicated and has a prior felony DUI conviction within 10 years, making this also a felony. He also has a revoked driver’s license for a DUI conviction until the year 2060. The male was taken to Homer Jail and charged with two counts of failing to stop in the first degree, felony DUI, assault in the third degree, driving with license revoked, reckless driving, vehicle theft in the first degree and resisting arrest. He was also arrested for two outstanding warrants for violating the terms of his felony probation and charges of theft, criminal trespass in the first and driving with license revoked. He is being held without bail pending arraignment. The two assault charges are from citizens reporting almost being struck by the driver during his attempt to flee law enforcement. Anyone who witnessed the pursuit and had to take evasive action due to his driving is asked to contact Anchor Point Troopers at 235-8239.

Oct. 8

Alaska State Troopers contacted a 33-year-old Anchor Point woman at 2:26 p.m. at her residence and arrested her on an outstanding warrant.

Alaska State Troopers contacted a 38-year-old Anchor Point male at his residence and arrested him on an outstanding warrant.

Oct. 9

Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop at 7:48 p.m. on the Sterling Highway in Anchor Point and contacted a 71-year-old male driver. Investigation revealed the man was operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to Anchor Point Trooper Post for a breath sample and afterwards remanded at Homer Jail.

Oct. 10

Alaska State Troopers contacted at 26-year-old Anchor Point male at his residence and arrested him on an outstanding warrant.
