Lavallee visits Art Shop Gallery
Artist Barbara Lavallee visits the Art Shop Gallery from 1-6 p.m. Saturday. She will be available to personalize and sign calendars, prints and books. Call the gallery at 235-7076 to have items signed if unable to make the visit.

Bunnell 10x10 show up Friday
Bunnell Street Gallery’s 10 x 10 Members Show opens with a reception 5-7 p.m. Friday at the gallery. A silent auction runs Nov. 18-Dec. 2, with the auction closing at 6 p.m. and an artists reception from 5-7 p.m. Dec. 2.
Thirty-four emerging and established artists submitted works in any medium, with the only limitation that they measure no more than 10-inches square or cubed.
Works can be purchased for a “buy it now” price of $250 online, but silent auction bids must be made in person at the gallery, with a minimum bid of $100. Art can be viewed at the gallery or online at bunnellarts.org.
Live at Met opera is today
The Homer Opera Guild presents the New York Metropolitan Opera’s Live at the Met video of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Don Giovanni at 6 p.m. today at the Homer Theatre. Admission is $15 general, $10 seniors and $5 students.
Kilchers sign new cookbook
next week at Homer Bookstore
Homer authors Eve and Eivin Kilcher will be signing their new cookbook, “The Homestead Kitchen,” from noon-2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Homer Bookstore. Published by Pam Krauss Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House, the cookbook features many recipes using local foods and includes color photographs by Brian Grobleski.
