In a press release, Robl said, "The conditions causing the closure of the park have currently been successfully addressed. The city of Homer would like to thank park users for their cooperation and patience in dealing with the closure."
Alaska State Troopers at about 12:30 a.m. last Tuesday went to a report of an intruder in a Ninilchik man's home.
The man told troopers a stranger came into his house and would not leave, and tried to punch him. The man left before troopers arrived.
Later that morning, another Ninilchik man reported the same suspect came into his home and demanded alcohol.
The suspect also tried to punch the homeowner. Troopers have identified a suspect and an investigation is continuing.
Seldovia Police Chief Andy Anderson stopped a 26-year-old Seldovia man for driving 34 mph in a 25 mph zone on Jakolof Bay Road. When Anderson checked the man's license, the driver told Anderson he did not have one. Public safety records showed the man's license was revoked. The man told Anderson he didn't think he needed a license to drive in Seldovia. Anderson cited Michael Tabios for driving while license revoked.
