Friends of the Homer Public Library




The Young Adult Writers Group for ages 14-18 years will meet at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 10 and Jan. 24 at the library. Led by local author Mel McWilliams.

Girls Night Out, a reading group with crafts and snacks for ages 14-18 years, will meet at 6 p.m. Jan. 15 at the library. January's novels for discussion are "The Sweet Far Thing" by Libba Bray and "Gallows Hill" by Lois Duncan. Free.

Express Line Adult Writers Group for beginning adult writers will meet at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at the library. Led by Mel McWilliams. Free.

Pajama Party, an after-hours story hour with games and prizes for kids ages 2-10 years, will be from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 18 at the library. Free.

Family Game Night will be at 6 p.m. Jan. 22 at the library. A variety of board games will be available. Game and room use is first come, first served. Local game clubs are welcome. Free.

Teen Acoustic Night will be from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 25. Play, sing or say anything, as long as it's clean. Free.

There will be a Biz Idea contest during the month of January. Submit your great idea for a business and win up to $1,000. Entry forms available at the library, Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, or by e-mailing info@friendshomerlibrary.org. Application deadline is Feb. 15.
