Dec. 22

A man at 10:30 a.m. reported theft of items and suspicious activity at a Mile 2 East End Road address.

A caller at 11:31 a.m. reported a dead rabbit near the entrance of a Waddell Avenue building.

Dec. 23

Police at 12:04 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 30-year-old woman driving on East End Road and arrested her for driving under the influence, endangering the welfare of a child and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

Police at 4:36 a.m. did a welfare check on a woman who made a 911 call from a Fairview Avenue home. The woman was OK.

A caller at 8:36 p.m. reporting hearing three shots fired in the Ocean Drive Loop area. Police responded.

Several callers at 9:14 p.m. reported hearing what sounded like gunshots or fireworks in the East End Road area.

A man at 10:15 p.m. reported a man sleeping in the post office lobby.

Dec. 24

A man at 1:37 p.m. reported receiving threats by text messaging.

A caller at 7:16 p.m. reported hearing loud bangs near Mile 169 Sterling Highway.

Dec. 25

A person at 2:49 p.m. made a 911 call of a drunk man running at cars, yelling and making obscene gestures on Rogers Loop Road. Police could not find the man.

A man at 6:29 p.m. reported firearms being discharged inside city limits.

Dec. 26

A man at 1:58 a.m. reported he hit a moose on West Hill Road. The man said he was not injured but his car was damaged and the moose injured. A charity was called to salvage the moose meat.

A 52-year-old man at 10:36 a.m. went to the police station and said he thought he had a warrant for his arrest. Police arrested him on two warrants for failure to appear in court.

A woman at 10:39 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on her family. She said she had not been able to contact them for several days.

A man at 11:43 a.m. reported his car was stuck on the beach and the tide was up to his tires. Police advised a towing company.

A man at 12:18 p.m. reported a statue of a red bull dog was stolen from in front of his Pioneer Avenue home.

A woman at 3:39 p.m. reported seeing an eagle in the water near Lake Street that appeared it needed help getting out.

Dec. 27

Police at 4 a.m. saw an abandoned snowmachine on a roadside trail near Mile 3 East End Road.

A caller at 11:16 a.m. reported an otter in distress on the Homer Spit. Police contacted the Alaska SeaLife Center.

A man at 2:17 p.m. reported his wallet was stolen from his Kachemak Drive home. The wallet was later found in the man's closet.

A caller at 5:42 p.m. reported an unwanted woman at his Svedlund Street home. Police responded and arrested a 32-year-old woman for trespassing and resisting arrest.

An apartment manager at 7:40 p.m. reported the smell of marijuana coming from a Main Street apartment. Police responded and could not smell anything.

A caller at 8:05 p.m. reported a possibly drunk man walking in the road near Mile 3 East End road and wearing dark clothing and a head lamp. Police could not find the man.

Police at 11:02 p.m. contacted two drunk men who appeared to be arguing. Police arrested a 22-year-old man for marijuana possession and took a 29-year-old man into protective custody.

A caller at 11:51 p.m. reported a man dragged his wife out the door of a Pioneer Avenue bar and shoved her into a red Jeep. Police responded and arrested a 30-year-old man for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and interfering with a report of domestic violence.

Dec. 28

A caller at 7:29 a.m. reported a bicyclist weaving in and out of traffic on Lake Street.

A caller at 10:07 a.m. reported tires damaged at a Main Street address, possibly due to a drug complaint.

A woman at 10:37 a.m. reported a compromised social network account.

A caller at 11:15 a.m. reported a shoplifter at a Sterling Highway store.

A man at 11:03 a.m. reported a large propane tank in the road on Greatland Street. The tank was removed.

A caller at 3:20 p.m. reported receiving harassing email.

A caller at 6:54 p.m. reported problems with family members at a Main Street home. Police responded.

Dec. 29

A caller at 12:35 p.m. reported possible drug and alcohol use and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Police contacted several juveniles and determined the complaint was unfounded.

Police at 1:51 p.m. assisted in a probation violation arrest at a Sterling Highway address. A man was arrested for fifth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, Oxycodone.

Police at 7:28 p.m. contacted a 28-year-old man driving on Fairview Avenue and arrested him for driving while license revoked.

Dec. 30

A man at 1:30 a.m. made a 911 call of a disturbance at a Pioneer Avenue bar. Police responded.

A woman at 8:40 a.m. reported her mental health was being used in a fraudulent manner to get public assistance.

Police at 1:39 p.m. went to an Ocean Drive Loop home and arrested a 25-year-old woman for violating conditions of release and arrested a 51-year-old man for weapons misconduct and drug possession.

A caller at 1:35 p.m. reported possible child abuse in a car being driven on Lake Street.

Police at 4:52 p.m. received a report that a stolen vehicle might be in the Homer area.

Police at 5:31 p.m. served a search warrant at an Ocean Drive Loop home.

Police at 11:04 p.m. issued a summons to a 30-year-old man for driving while license suspended.

Dec. 31

A woman at 11:55 a.m. reported difficulty with her daughter and another woman at a Main Street address. Police responded and the daughter was taken to another home.

A woman at 11:48 a.m. reported she was being harassed by four people in a Jeep on Pioneer Avenue.

A woman at 1:20 p.m. reported a theft from the Sabrina Road home she was moving out of.

A woman at 2:23 p.m. reported a driver in a black SUV backed into her car on Race Road and the person drove away.

Police at 3:42 p.m. received a "report every dangerous driver immediately" complaint of a person in a black GMC near Mile 162 Sterling Highway. Police could not locate the suspect car.

A woman at 8:16 p.m. reported fireworks being shot off in the Bayview Avenue area.

A caller at 8:59 p.m. reported underage drinking at a Sterling Highway hotel.

A woman at 10:42 p.m. reported hearing fireworks in the East End Road area.

Police at 10:42 p.m. arrested a 24-year-old man on a probation violation.

A caller at 10:59 p.m. reported fireworks on the Spit.

Jan. 1

A caller at 12:10 a.m. reported fireworks in the Jennifer Place area.

A man at 2:11 a.m. reported a disturbance at a Pioneer Avenue bar.

A woman at 8:55 p.m. reported her daughter ran away. Police arrested a juvenile for minor consuming alcohol.

A man at 10:55 p.m. reported a fight in progress at a Pioneer Avenue hotel. Police responded and arrested a man for amphetamine possession and disorderly conduct.

Jan. 2

A woman at 12:10 a.m. reported she was being harassed by text message.

A woman at 12:48 p.m. asked to speak to an officer about a child custody issue. An officer advised her of her options.

A caller at 4:37 p.m. asked police to deliver a message to a family member.

A caller at 6:57 p.m. reported detaining a boy who had shut off power to a Bartlett Street building.
