The Rasmuson Foundation will award grants directly to Alaska artists to support experimentation, reflection, and the concentration necessary to nurture and foster creative work. The postmark deadline to apply for an Individual Artist Award is March 1.
The three grant programs to which artists may apply are project awards of up to $5000 for support on short-term projects; fellowships which have an unrestricted award of $12,000 designed to encourage recipients to explore their creative instincts and focus energy and attention on the artistic process; and the distinguished artist award, selected annually, with an unrestricted $25,000 award in recognition of creative excellence.
