Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies

Wynn Nature Center's naturalist leads a walk on the center's trail system every Wednesday. Snowshoes will be provided. Meet at the CACS headquarters in town at 11:45 a.m. if you'd like to carpool, or at the Wynn Nature Center at noon. Community bonfires are held 2-4:30 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month and feature songs, snacks, families and friends. A naturalist-led community education program is held 2-4:30 p.m. on the third Sunday of every month. Seasonal topics include animal adaptation, astronomy and snow science.
