Jan. 3

A man at 9:15 a.m. reported embezzlement from a local business.

A man at 3:57 p.m. went to the Homer Jail to visit a person and was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court.

A woman at 10:46 p.m. reported a man violating a restraining order. Police arrested a 63-year-old man for violating a restraining order, unlawful communications and violating conditions of release.

Jan. 4

A school bus employee at 7:49 a.m. reported a bus in the ditch on Skyline Drive.

A person at 2:48 p.m. made a 911 call that a driver in a red Dodge Durango hit her car on the Sterling Highway near Heath Street and left the scene.

A man at 6:15 p.m. reported yelling and screaming outside a Pioneer Avenue business. Police responded.

Police at 6:36 p.m. issued a summons to a 25-year-old woman for driving with a suspended license after contacting her on the Sterling Highway.

Jan. 5

A man at 11:06 a.m. reporting receiving counterfeit bills at a local business.

A caller at 11:10 a.m. reported receiving calls in violation of a restraining order.

A caller at 2:42 p.m. reported a man following a friend.

A woman at 2:46 p.m. reported a bicycle stolen outside a Ben Walters Lane apartment.

Police at 3:30 p.m. attempted to contact a person at the request of the Kenai Police Department.

A caller at 9:48 p.m. reported a man refused to leave a Soundview Avenue address after being asked. Police responded, but the man had left before they arrived.

Jan. 6

A person at 9:29 a.m. made a 911 call of a two-car crash with no injuries on East End Road. Police were investigating a driver on charges of driving without a license and not having vehicle insurance.

A caller at 4 p.m. reported a man came home drunk, pushed her down and hit her.

A caller at 6:09 p.m. reported people parking cars illegally in handicapped spaces at a Sterling Highway business.

A man at 6:29 p.m. reported a disturbance at a Svedlund Street address. Police responded.

A woman at 9:11 p.m. reported a man who appeared to be drunk came to the door of a Ben Walters Lane home and asked her to call a number. Police responded but could not find the man.

Police at 9:27 p.m. contacted a 25-year-old man on the Sterling Highway and arrested him for possession of drugs with the intent to sell.

Jan. 7

A woman at 12:47 a.m. reported a drunk man came to her Ben Walters Lane home, asked her to call a number and then passed out. Police arrested the 41-year-old man on a warrant.

Three men at 1:06 a.m. waved down officers on Ben Walters Lane and reported a theft and vehicle tampering. After an investigation, police charged a 41-year-old man picked up earlier for criminal mischief, third-degree theft and trespassing.

Police at 2:30 p.m. assisted a woman with turning in possible drug paraphernalia.

A man at 2:50 p.m. reported his brown 1993 Ford pickup truck missing after he parked it at a Triton Court address for maintenance.

Soldotna Police at 5 p.m. asked police for help in contacting a local resident.

A man at 10:05 p.m. reported losing a firearm. The firearm was later found and disposed of by its registered owner.

Jan. 8

Police at 8 a.m. served a warrant on an inmate at the Homer Jail.

A man at 9:36 a.m. reported someone blew up an unused mailbox on Skyline Drive.

Police at 10:32 a.m. observed a damaged mailbox on East Hill Road.

An employee at 12:15 p.m. reported a theft from a Lake Street business.

A caller at 4:15 p.m. asked for help in issuing a trespass notice to a person.

A person at 5:10 p.m. made a 911 call of a domestic disturbance at an East End Road home. Police responded.

A caller at 9:06 p.m. reported a person in possession of marijuana.

Jan. 9

A caller at 1:37 a.m. reported a suspicious person in the Pioneer Avenue area. Police responded and took a man into protective custody.

A caller at 1:58 p.m. reported being threatened by a group of people.

A caller at 7:04 p.m. asked police to check on a woman who had a recent death in the family. Police contacted the woman and found her to be OK.

A person at 10:07 p.m. made a 911 call of a domestic disturbance at a Clover Lane address. Police responded and arrested a 39-year-old woman for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and a probation violation.
