Homer Alaska - Letters

Thank you to the communities of Homer and Anchor Point for all the positive support and encouragement this wrestling season, my success is the result of people believing in me as a little boy and later a young man.

Over the years, my teachers (Mr. Akers, Ms. Roberts, Mr. Stineff, Mr. and Mrs. Casseri, Mr. Berge, Mr. Carper, Mr. Tucker, Mrs. Thompson, Ms. Webb, and Mr. Pitzman) coaches (Popeye Wrestling Mike Illg and Steve Wolfe; Mariner Wrestling Chris Perk and Andrew Peters) and friends (Tris, Mr. Brymer and Shlomo) have shared words of encouragement. These words have given me the strength to step out on the mat and represent our community with pride.

As I move forward in my quest to wrestle in college, I will always remember where I came from and those who enriched my life. As Coach Perk says "head up, hips down and keep the secret" will serve me well.
