April Chesebro and Rafael Skorski

Byron and Jackie Chesebro of San Diego, Calif., announce the engagement of their daughter April Marie Chesebro to Rafael Sebastian Ruck Skorski. Rafael and his parents, Zdzislaw Skorski and Regina Skorska, are originally from Bialystok, Poland, and have lived in New Britain, Conn., for the past 30 years. April and Rafael met in April 2009 in Homer and will be married on Aug. 2, 2011, the 70th wedding anniversary of the bride's maternal grandparents, Howard and Kathleen Atkinson, who will be attending.
