Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to 17 medical calls and six fire calls.
Jan. 5
Firefighters at 7:74 a.m. went to the Clover Lane neighborhood for a report of the smell of fuel. Firefighters couldn't find the source of the smell.
Jan. 7
Firefighter at 7:20 p.m. went to a chimney fire on Marlea Avenue. Upon arrival they found the owners had put out the fire. Firefighters checked to make sure the fire had not spread.
Jan. 8
Firefighters at 12:03 a.m. went to a house fire on Rangeview Avenue. Firefighters put out the fire and helped residents save a large amount of personal belongings.
Jan. 9
Firefighters at 1:10 a.m. went to a Dumpster fire at a Homer Spit building. They put out the fire.
Firefighters at 4:55 p.m. went to a sprinkler alert at Homer High School. Crews determined a pipe had frozen and burst.
Jan. 10
Firefighters at 10:34 a.m. went to a chimney fire on Hillside Place. Upon arrival they found the owners had put out the fire. Firefighters checked to make sure the fire had not spread.
