A beautiful golden lab, she didn't bark, chase cars or get in the trash, and spent most of her time inside. Of course, she had to go outside once or twice a day, but never for long without kids. Almost everyone loved her. Unfortunately, one someone didn't -- she was poisoned.
Yes, we know who did it, but whatever my family could do to retaliate would not bring back our pet. What an unhappy person you must be to take the life of an animal that did nothing to you. I would like to say to this person: I pray that your grandchildren never lose a beloved pet the way mine have.
My husband feels that this letter will accomplish nothing because there are many hateful people in this world. I hope the next time you are irritated by a neighbor's animal you will stop and think about the effect of your actions.
If your intent was to hurt my family, you have succeeded, and I feel sorry for you. I forgive you, and I will be praying for you.
