Pet of the Week
If you're trying to conserve our precious natural resources by cranking down the heat and putting on a sweater, we all thank you. But while you're shivering in your sheets, you might want a little company.
Enter Jack. He's an outgoing, playful 3-4-month-old black kitten. He'll help you fend off a case of cabin fever with his youthful enthusiasm and his excitement for the new and different.
When you're snuggling up to him to save on your heating bill, try popping in a copy of "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark." Jack's a bit of an explorer, and he loves to watch Indy in action.
If you would like to adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from Public Works off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, noon-5 p.m. Call 235-3141 for information.
