Goodness! Jack Frost is here for a visit, so keep the home fires burning. It sounds like this cold weather will be staying around for awhile. Keep those children bundled, and if you know of any homesteaders, stop in and keep an eye on them. This is the time of year where some may need our helping hands. Have a great week. Anchor Point Senior Citizens Center

Tonight’s dinner will be London broil and baked chicken with mashed taters, gravy and coleslaw. Price for members is $5; for nonmembers, it is $7. Bingo will be back in full force starting Feb 3.

Chapman School

Bingo for Books is from 6:30-8:30 tonight. So grab those bingo daubers and daub a winning card for books.

There will be a home volleyball game starting at 4 p.m. Jan. 31. Help support the Eagles. Good luck, girls.

Anchor Point Library

The Annual Cabin Fever show will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Chapman School with Lulu Small as the star.  Story time will be at 1 p.m. Saturday. Parents must accompany their children.

VFW Post 10221

Sunday will be the monthly fish fry. Feb. 4 will be the monthly steak night. Don’t forget to come on down on Feb. 5 for the Super Bowl. There will be lots of food, prizes and fun for all.

The fifth annual Groundhog’s Day fund-raiser for the Marine Corps League will be at 5 p.m. Feb. 4 at the VFW Post 10221 in Anchor Point. This fund-raiser supports Marine Corps League donations to the Young Marine Program, scholarships, community service programs, Marine Corps Youth Fitness Program, veterans’ needs and the Marine Corps Foundation.
