Homer resident Christie Hill wears a Spongebob Squarepants costume — which her daughter helped her make — to this year's Polar Plunge in Seward. It was "balmy" weather, she said, and everything she touchedwas "streaked with yellow," including a dog. Hill raised close to $6,000 for the American Cancer Society, enough to win her first place at the event.
