Mike Farrens, the Mariners lone boy skier, participated in a mixed team with Nikiski and SoHi skiers. He had the fourth best individual time at 16:49.
The Mariner girls A team finished third out of eight teams. The team consisted of Alina Rykaczewski, 21:25; Gillian Beran-Maryott, 21:33; Monica Peters, 21:39; and Kristin Vantrease, 21:56.
The Mariners B team only had three skiers so was unable to get a team score. They were Tia Halpin, 23:20; Julie Seneff, 24:26; and Benay Breyfogle, 30:17.
Head Ski Coach Daryl Farrens said SATs, the Besh Cup races in Soldotna and the flu limited the size of the team at the relays.
In Besh Cup results Saturday, Erika Klaar finished fifth, but was the fourth Alaskan, in the JII age group for females. On Sunday she was ninth overall, the seventh Alaskan. Klaar is currently ranked 10th in the JII age group, and ninth on the Junior Nationals points list.
Also racing Sunday were Morgan Jones, 25th in the OJ/JI male, 24th Alaskan; Gus Beck, 29th in JII male, 26th Alaskan; and Thorey Munro, 33rd in female JII, 31st Alaskan.

The Mariners host six teams for the Homer Invite Saturday at McNeil Canyon School. It is the last home race for Homer and begins at noon.
Eight Mariner skiers participated in the Nikiski Relays, a 4 by 5K classical race.
