Adjusting to life as a Coast Guardsman's wife on her husband's deployment to Homer has led to a book about how faith can help families adjust to military life. Jocelyn Green's "Faith Deployed: Daily Encouragement for Military Lives," released in December by Moody Publishers, includes first-person stories by Green and 14 other contributors. Newly married, Green came to Homer with her husband, Rob Green, in 2003. That experience eventually led to the book. The Greens now live in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
