The Kachemak Bay Conservation Society meets at 7 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Islands and Ocean Visitor Center. After a short business meeting, Chris and Ken Day present "Bears," a National Wildlife Federation documentary on the bears of Alaska. The usual potluck is cancelled because of the location. The Homer Hockey Association holds a Skate-A-Thon fund-raiser from 2-4 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Homer Middle School ice rink.
