Bunnell Street Gallery
Ceramic sculptures by Jeff Dalton will be featured during February, beginning with an artist talk at 6 p.m. Friday, followed by an opening reception.
Homer Council on the Arts
The Emerging Artist Show opens with a reception from 5-7 p.m. Friday. This is the second year HCOA has hosted an exhibit featuring new, emerging artists. There are 17 artists represented in this year’s show.
Mermaid Cafe
In the spirit of M.C. Escher, students from across the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District tried their skills at tessellations.
The 80 entries will be exhibited at Mermaid Café for one night only — Friday, from 5-7 p.m.
Materials will be available so visitors to the exhibit can try their hand at creating a tessellation. (See related story, page 18.)
Old Inlet Printmaking Studio
The Old Inlet Printmaking Studio, located beneath Bunnell Street Gallery, will have an open house from 5-7 p.m. Friday. Everyone is welcome.
Picture Alaska art gallery<P>
There will not be a First Friday reception at the gallery this month, however hot chai and cookies will be served during normal store hours until 6 p.m.
During February, Picture Alaska will feature a display of guest artist Marianne Wieland’s valentine prints.
