The Homer Soil and Water Conservation District is sponsoring its annual speech and poster contest and all students on the lower Kenai Peninsula are encouraged to participate. This year’s theme is “Water Wise.” The speech competition is open to students in grades 7-12. Manuscripts and bibliographies are due by Feb. 20.
