Library project on the move
The New Library Project received a great show of support from the Homer City Council at the Jan. 27 meeting. Thank you council members for selecting such a wonderful site. We look forward to moving on to the design phase of the new library.

The library's fall community fund drive was a great success. Thanks to all the generous community members who gave to the cause. We raised $24,000 from our "lineup" flyers. Thanks to Spenard Builders, Ulmer's Drug and Hardware and the Homer Firefighters for lining up their staff to support the New Library Project.

Congratulations to the Inglima family for winning the Era ticket in the fund drive drawing. Thank you Era Aviation for donating the ticket and for your continued support of the Homer community and the New Library Project.

I hope to see many of you at the Bowl-a-Rama on Feb. 8. Please sign a pledge sheet at the library for one of the many great teams that will be knocking 'em down for the library. Join us at Kachemak Bowl to see Jack Cushing and the Bowl-a-crats take on the South Peninsula Hospital Pin Doctors. Just imagine!
