Take away the Warriors game-opening 19-4 run, and the Knights would have been within striking distance. As it was, HCS was able to pull within 10 points in the first half of a game that Bristol Bay eventually won 77-60. Allen Tibbetts poured in a game-high 27 for the Warriors.
"It was a very fast-paced game," HCS coach Mark Halpin said. "Aside from the first five minutes, it was a good game for us."
HCS's offensive output -- four Knights reached double figures -- was a season high, Halpin said.
Javin Halpin led the Knights with 16 points, Peter Resetarits had 15, Micaiah Ellert added 14 and Shawn Seymour scored 10.
The HCS girls also fell to Bristol Bay as the Warriors steamrolled to a 71-18 conference win behind Danica Wilson's 20-point effort.
Shanda Cundiff scored six points for the Knights.
