Vandals can’t destroy giving spirit

I realize that whoever did this dastardly deed is full of hate and anger and is not emotionally able to share the Christmas spirit and gift of giving. How sad that these individuals don’t reach out for help to so many in this wonderful community that could help them to love not hate, to build not destroy, etc.

As a member of HEA, it is my desire that the Nativity be rebuilt for the community to enjoy this coming season and for many more to come. I have found that if you give in to these sick people it is wrong. An example is the destruction of the Poopdeck Path artwork, which was not only destroyed once but twice, and then we gave up to these individuals. We need to not give up but to persevere and do the right thing by our community. I suggested to several

establishments that perhaps if it was renamed to Platt’s Path that poopdeck would be just as pleased and maybe it wouldn’t be the target of ridicule and destruction.

As for myself personally I have truly enjoyed the handmade Nativity and artwork of the workers of HEA. Please use your talents and share with us again. I personally would like to donate to the cost of materials that would be needed to redo the Nativity.

May the Lord continue to bless us all through the coming year with plenty and hope and love in our hearts.

Gloria F. Corey
