Applications are available for the City of Homer Grants Program, an annual competitive grants program that supports Homer-based 501(c)(3) tax exempt organizations that have been in existence in Homer for a minimum of 3 years. Applications are available through the Homer Foundation, 235-0541, or www.homerfund.org. The deadline is 5 p.m. on Feb. 25.

West Homer Elementary School's sixth grade class presents an Alaskana Dinner Theatre at 5 and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at the school. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for kids and include a salad and lasagna dinner. The production is a fundraiser for two field trips one to Anchorage and another to float the Kenai River. The Homer Farmers' Market seeks submissions for a new T-shirt design. Designs should draw on the celebration of food and art that is the Homer Farmers' Market.
