Troopers at 6:06 p.m. went to a single-vehicle rollover near Mile 147 Sterling Highway. They allege a 23-year-old man lost control of his Toyota SUV while driving north. Anchor Point and Ninilchik EMTs responded and took the driver and a 26-year-old female passenger to South Peninsula Hospital.

Feb. 1

Troopers at 12:06 p.m. received many reports of vandalized mailboxes in the Bear Creek Drive and Eagle Aire areas of Homer, causing about $400 in damages. Mailboxes also had been damaged months before in the North Fork Road area in Anchor Point. An investigation is ongoing and postal authorities were notified. Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact troopers at 235-8239.

Troopers at 11:45 p.m. went to a report of a burglary at a home near Mile 10 East End Road. Troopers said the burglar broke in through a locked door and stole a $2,500 ring, possibly injuring a dog during the break-in.

Feb. 3

A man at 4:17 p.m. reported the theft of a .22 handgun from his Anchor Point home during a break-in.

Feb. 4

Troopers went to a report of suspicious activity at a charter fishing office in Ninilchik. Troopers said it appeared someone had broken into the charter office and fish processing room and had been living there since the office closed last fall. An investigation is ongoing.
