Tax form training offered
Public training on the new joint sales tax return form will be offered by the Kenai Peninsula Borough at the Homer City Council chambers from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 pm. Feb. 26.
Chamber announces events
The chamber is having a close-out sale on bulk retail bags and city maps. The bags come in large and small, prices ranging from $9-$15 for a box of 100. City maps are $2 each for 10 or more. For information, contact Jenny, 235-7740, or stop by the chamber.
The next business breakfast roundtable is from 8-9 a.m. March 10. Seating is limited to 18 people, with one seat per industry. Each participant receives 2 minutes to pitch a business and hand out literature. To sign up, call the chamber at 235-7740.
Derotha Ferraro will give a presentation on the South Kenai Peninsula Community's Project at the March 24 chamber luncheon at Best Western Bidarka Inn. Survey results and goals for the future will be shared. The luncheon is open to the public; $12 members, $14 non-members.
Wasabi's will hold the next mixer from 5-7 p.m. March 26. The evening includes door prizes and food. Wasabi's is located at 52917 East End Road.
The 2009 Winter King Salmon Tournament will be March 21. Information on the tournament is available on the Web at www.homeralaska.org.
