The Kachemak Nordic Ski Club's annual Wine, Cheese and Wooden Ski Tour kicks off Sunday at noon at the McNeil Canyon Elementary School ski trails. The 10-kilometer route, suitable for all ability levels, will be groomed for skating and tracks will be set. A variety of wines and cheeses will be served. Use wooden skis and wear vintage clothing if you have them. Suggested donations are $20 for members, $25 for non-members and $10 for youth ages 11-20. Snow, fun and maybe sun
The Homer Snomads hold their 2009 Fun Run on Caribou Hills trails Feb. 28 and will be handing out prizes for first, second and third place in a variety of events. Pre-registration is going on now at All Seasons Honda and Peninsula Ski-Doo, Homer Saw and Cycle, Kachemak Gear Shed and Lower Peninsula Power Sports.
