Fengus is a clever and curious cat that chases muckles obsessively to get back items that were stolen by them. He is very upset that the tomte (elves) never come to their house for Christmas. He tries making a wish list and builds a snow lantern. If the snow lantern melts by morning the tomte will come. Pettson is an old inventor, who is also Fingus’s owner. When he promises that the tomte will come, he is very concerned that the tomte won’t come so he attempts to build a tomte machine in secret.

It’s amazing what a little beard can do.
This fun family cartoon is appropriate for all ages. “Pettson and Findus: the Tomte Machine” has great cinematography. I especially liked it when Fingus sat on top of Pettson’s head and looked at him upside down. It’s not that fantastic sound. It is hard to understand at first, but starts making sense at a certain point.
