Originally from North Carolina, DeMarcus began attending fiddlers’ conventions and music festivals in 1967. He is a founding member of the Green Grass Cloggers and toured the world for a dozen years, performing traditional music and dance at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, for several national television specials and at major folk festivals in and out of North America.
DeMarcus also began his calling career in 1971 and is known for his humor, easy walk-throughs and energy.
He also plays with his old-time band, Fat Weasel, and his zydeco band, “The ZydeCohos.”
Saturday’s music will be provided by Spit City Slickers.
Admission is $6 at the door. Kids 16 and under are fee. Bring clean, soft-soled shoes.
