Support for arts appreciated
Once again, The Homer Foundation has shown their support for the youth and art in our community. Thank you so much. Homer Council on the Arts received funding from The Choices for Teens Fund, a field of interest fund at the Homer Foundation, to help support a Silk Painting Workshop for youth on March 26. Silk painting is like water coloring on fabric or similar to tie-dying, but on silk. In this workshop all participants will paint two bandanas. Whatever you paint is always beautiful on silk and then you can wear it.
This funding will allow for a very reduced fee for youth and the opportunity for a 2-for-1 with Big Brothers Big Sisters. An adult workshop will be offered March 27 as well. Please call to HCOA or go to homerart.org to sign up. Thank you Homer Foundation for your continued support for the healthy development of our community by supporting our youth.
