The announcements section of Town Crier is a public service provided to individuals, nonprofit agencies and community groups.

Short announcements are generally run for two weeks, but are subject to space availability. Notices and obituaries may be edited for length, style and clarity. Events will be listed in the Calendar page.

Refuge Chapel's Armageddon Cafe is closed for renovations until Feb. 27, reopening at 3 p.m. that day. Call 299-3717 for more information.

The Kachemacs Macintosh User Group meets the first Thursday of the month at the Homer Public Library from 6-8 p.m. Call Diane at 235-0714 for more information.

The Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies has a free snowshoe loan program 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, at 708 Smokey Bay Way. Call 235-6667.

The Homer Public Health Center, 195 East Bunnell Ave., now offers appointments only for all services from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. To schedule an appointment for immunizations or other public health nursing services, call 235-8857.
