Districtwide: The district Federal Programs Department has scheduled a Title VII, Indian Education Parent Advisory Committee meeting on March 8. Scholarship: The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District is sponsoring scholarships for a 2007/2008 full-year tuition waiver from AVTEC, Alaska Vocational Technical Center, and a 2008/2008 full-year tuition waiver from KPC, Kenai Peninsula College. The scholarships apply to this year’s graduating seniors. Applications are available on the Web at www.kpbsd.k12.ak.us/departments.aspx?id=50, or contact school counselors for information. The Drama, Debate and Forensics team competed at the East High School Invitational in Anchorage and received the following awards: Clinton Edminster, Bailey Richards, Joanna Coke and Kevin Beeker, second place in pantomime; Kristin Tonga, third place in Lincoln Douglas debate; Dylan Carter and Tyler Langham, finalists in duet acting.

The following students were selected for the state DDF team: Kristin Tonga, Luke Westerburg, Kelsey Waldorf, Marc Oliver, Patrick Schneider, George Gustafson, Dylan Carter, Marina Harrington, Clinton Edminster, Melissa Lettis, Hunter Multz-Matthews, Heath Emery, Taneeka Hansen, Ethan Martin and Tyler Langham.

Through today: Artist in the Schools with Eddie Wood. Salsa dance with a focus on Spanish languages. Showcase demonstration will be in the high school Green Room at 2:30 p.m.
